I've heard good things about this place. Thinking about using it as a finishing point for some grub after a hoon.

Anybody know what time it opens on a Sunday morning and where in Rye it is?

It is on the small roundabout by the chippie, next to the bridge that goes over to the pertrol stations.

Is that the one the previous Kent Run went to (well the carpark behind)?

I was only aware of the one cafe. Not that i'm that au fait with Rye town centre itself. I'm far more familiar with that unclassified road that leads up to Appledore. wink

Any idea what time the Cafe at Rye opens on a Sunday?

Its a nightmare finding a half-decent cafe in Kent that opens early enough before the roads start getting busy.

I usually use the Oakdene at Wrotham Heath, which is great and opens at 6am, but its starting to get a bit monotonous now.

OK, was in Rye area yesterday evening; had a scout around for the cafe.

It opens at 8am every day. That's good and early enough for a dawn hoon to finish at. thumbup

I have done a couple of early (ish) runs down to there Justin. Myself and Eliseman (on SELOC) and another mate did one the other day. I pinched the first part of the original Kent Run to get down there. Nice breakfast, only £5. Then up to Ashford via Brenzett bypass and along M20 back to Maidstone services. biggrin

There's the Fish and Chip restaurant which is the building that the car park is behind, but I don't think that opens on a Sunday morning.

The Cafe is open at 8am on a Sunday morning and is popular with Bikers.

Both of them are on the mini roundabout here

Possibly a finish point for an mid-summers evening hoon, though. Is it any good? I absolutely adore decent fish and chips. cloud9

Feel free to PM me if any more ad-hoc runs take place. thumbup

The Elise is still in Sinclaire's. I'm absolutely climbing the walls being Lotus-less and gagging for a decent drive on her return! driving

Nope. If you're a fish & chip devotee this is where you should go.
