Just had the Cerbera detailed

TVR Detail
Pete brought down his Cerbera to me as his car suffered from the common light swirls and scratches which affected the overall finish of the paint.
The general condition of this TVR however was extremely good and was obvious it has been very well looked after and washed/polished regularly!
Here it is when dropped off,
a few of the swirls
the majority of the car was covered like this but particularly the bonnet and front wings
the rear lights had some swirls too,
I cracked on with washing and drying but didn¡¦t feel the need to take pictures as the car was already very clean, once dried though I brought the Cerbera inside for claying.
The clay bar pulled a fair amount of containments out of the paint leaving the paint silky smooth for polishing, this is a stage I always do before machine polishing.
I didn¡¦t manage to take any pictures during polishing as it was hard to capture the swirls while inside but here a few panels once the first stage of machine polishing had been completed under the bright halogen lamps.
I then rolled the car out into the sun to see how I was doing
Looking pretty good so far
and that was the end of day 1
Day 2 started with a dust down and 6 hours + of machine polishing refining the previous days work, I then followed this with adding a glaze to the paint.
This was left for an hour then buffed to finish.
I once again rolled the car into the sunlight to see my progress
Following this I added a layer of wax and while that was starting to cure I dressed the tyres and waxed the wheels;
One of the wheels was quite heavily tarred so I spent near to an hour getting it perfect before adding the wax
The wax while curing
the insides of the door shuts and lights were waxed too
I left this over night to cure then buffed in the morning,
The glass was then cleaned and I then went through my final inspection round the car to make sure I was happy with the finish,
Here are some finished pictures
and in direct sunlight
Looking much better ļ
It was a great car to work on and I got the feeling Pete was having 2nd thoughts about selling now! I know I¡¦d be keeping it till at least the end of summer!
Overall am very pleased with Toms work, hes a good lad and really puts a lot work and effort into the job. Real Perfectionist.
