Guys,

redcard there are a number of Specs cameras on the anti-clockwise section between the A12 (J28) and the M11 (J27)...

Anyone know if they are permanent, and therefore for the NSL..., or are they there because roadworks are imminent, and will be set to 50mph??

Only wondering, as was having a spirited drive y'day with a rather lovely Bentley Continental Flying Spur (living up to its name hehe), when I came across the cameras, so I dawdled for a while boxedin

cheers,
John

Hi

They have been there for sometime now, I always drive to the limit through that section, but many others seam not to care or notice them, have heard that they are just there for research dont fancey the risk tho.

My mates just joined the traffic Police which patrol that section of the m25 and m11 so will ask him next time i see him.

I go through there pretty much daily and I haven't been done yet. I don't tend to do much more than about 0.9 leptons though, so they might be set for 93mph as I believe a lot of motorway cameras are? All conjecture, but my license remains unblemished so far...

Have not seen him for ages as he works odd shifts, he has only just joined the traffic unit based on the M11, so i doubt he has had the honour of piloting one yet

I thought that they could only enforce them if there were speed camera signs....which there aren't.

Thought that (as above) as well - although with changes to parking CCTV etc have they changed Scamera's as well?

They aren't on - or else they don't like lilac or grey cars!

I'd imagine anyone who has been done along that section, was done through the roadworks at the next tunnel as you travel West (roadworks which ended last year IIRC).

Hi All,

These are traffic management cameras supplied by Speed Check Services...the same company that make SPECS cameras.

They are confirmed by the company as not approved for speed enforcement.

Guys, are we still of the opinion these are 'traffic management cameras' and not to catch the odd 'speedster'??

Came through them earlier, and they still make me wonder... I agree with an earlier poster who says there are no warning speed cameras before them... but there seems to be more - and they closely resemble SPECS...

Cheers,
John

I'm guessing you are now talking about the specs cameras that are up on the west side of the m11/25 junction. The workman were fitting the cameras onto the poles when I went through yesterday so I'm guessing they are getting ready for roadworks or, god forbid, specs around the top of th em25
