Just a heads up - I've recently spotted marked patrol cars parked on the blind side of each of the Shell garages on Bluebell Hill, waiting for cars to speed past them. You have no chance whatsoever of seeing them there before you pass, they hide behind the buildings. As if the bloody scamera van at the bottom wasn't annoying enough...

Edit to add - one was in the daytime, the other was late at night, so stay on your toes...

Cheers jay. I know exactly where you mean. I would tell my mum as she uses it everyday but she is the only person i know who drives up there faster than she drives down

I forgot to say, there is a unmarked police car which is always around bluebell hell. It is a green Volvo estate. Keep you eyes out for it.

We used to deliver to those shell stations early a.m and there was often a police car
left at the garage on the downhill side (with nobody in it) purely to stop any potential "situations" arising so i was told.

It used to be an astra.

I often try and check as I drive up the hill, its a perfect place, & to be honest, it's difficult to check from Lane 3 doing 70.
