I found this site while browsing at work, and have used it to report a few pot holes and similar - and they actually fixed them!!!

http://ehss.essexcc.gov.uk/

Thought you might want to get some bits fixed near to wherever you live!!

How about that pesky "doppel-bump" on the way up the hill opposite Dunton towards Little Burstead!

I used to have a splitter on the front, it looked much better then!

Thanks for the link.

Just fired off a quick moan about the lumps and bumps you hit when going down Essex Way into benfleet where they did a naff job of covering the old cats eyes/road markings following the removal of the overtaking lane - sigh!.

Can make for some interesting skips and hops in the wet

Adam.

Bl**dy hell. Wasn't expecting the response that quick!

The road to Dunton has been resurfaced over XMAS. Bonus!

I got a reply by email

"Dear Mr Duff

I refer to your contact through the Essex County Council website regarding Essex Way.

I can confirm that I am aware of the ride quality issues driving down Essex Way. It is something that we are looking to address. However, due to the surface that has been used to seal the carriageway, it is unfortunately not as straight forward as we would hope as digging into this surface will ruin the integrity of the seal. However, we are investigating options at the moment with a view to carrying out work next financial year.

If I can be of any further assistance, please contact me directly."

Sweet christ on a very surprising bike.

Amazing (and encouraging) to see a council actually taking notice of what we say.

And its my council too!

Right, onto them about Salcott Crescent in Wickford, on the Wick estate.

If you've ever driven up it, you'll know its the worst surface ever!
