Many people are asking about paint protection film, well there are a few but the main ones are Armourfend (a 3m product) that is about 225 microns thick but has a tendancy to yellow and is fairly visible, the film that I use is ventureshield and is 130 microns thick and carries a lifetime guarantee agianst yellowing, cracking and peeling. I know that it is currently being used by Chevy WTC, Seat BTC, formula 1 and many other series. I have this film on my crossfire and it is virtualy invisible even though my car is black. It was fitted at chigwell in essex by APF (contact No. 07958 219 456 / 020 8500 4685 )

Matt, pardon us for being cynical, but you failed to mention it was your company in the original post and mentioned it as a satisfied customer!

Plus you are a new member and this is your first post!

If you spoke to Ted he might be OK with you doing a bit of self promoting in the forums - but the "recommendation" does seem a bit bad form!

had armour fend put on 3 of my cars, looks great to begin, after time starts to look rubbish.

Dont bother anymore, it's a car stone chips happen, such is life and all that :-)

Never tried ventureshield though so cant comment.

TBH Paintshield is a really good product and has my thumbs up as well as thumbs up from a number of the users from the 350zUKOwnersclub.com site and a number of other sites. I know Tom does a very professional job and am very satisfied with the results.

I realy did not intend my post to be an advert for APF I only wanted to point out that there are alternatives to 3M that I feal are a more advanced product that are a lot less visible. 3M was a great product in its day but like all products things progress and no doubt another product will come along and will be better than ventureshield. Every one has freedom of choice and what suits one wil not suit another. If anyone whants to compare the two products then I will gladly send out a sample and you can make up your own minds. Im not knocking Tom and I know that he does a good job with 3M and I apollogise if it looks that way.

Just so there is no confusion, Tom is Paintshield and not Ventureshield.

TBH my car doesn't look bad with 3M on it, infact you would be hard pressed to see it unless you came up close and personal.

paintshield and armourfend have both recieved a thumbs up from the vx220.org for quite some time, think most people are going to paintshield now though.

Moosh, have you contacted paintshield and told them your not pleased?
