Diesel Smell Removal
Discussion
Hello All,
My fuel return pipe went kaput on the way the work which caused a lot of smoke out of the bonnet and strong smell of diesel. RAC came and did a makeshift repair and said its okay to drive but not for long. Half heartedly drove home and 10 mins in the smoke started again but this time it was also coming out of the vents! I pulled up and turn the car off and left vehicle as i thought i was going to kill myself either by the smoke or potential fire. Eventually i got recovered to my local garage.
Anyways, the problem was obviously a faulty fuel return pipe and the spill off pipe was also changed. Issue is, it still smells of diesel. I think the smell is still coming through the air vents.
Do I need to clean the engine bay or is there still a problem?
