just wanted to say a big "thank you" to the absolute s who decided it'd be fun to make as much noise as possible leaving the Museum of Power meet today. Despite people asking you to wind it in a little, you decided that rules aren't for you.

The net result? It is quite possible that today is going to be the last meeting there because, quite understandably, the local residents are a little pissed off at having small dicked, little wkers screaming off on the limiters (or in one case back-firing like a gatling gun - complete fking throbber). I would say that I hope you're happy meeting in a Tesco car-park - but then given that there are likely to be little girls who're impressed with small dicks it'd be right up your street.

Seriously you tts why don't you just fk off and let the grown-ups be

I went to Walton Bridge Breakfast Club this morning and there was none of this sort of behaviour there although I think it has happened before in the past. Watching some of the You Tube videos from the likes of Adam C, some meets descend into complete chaos with almost no regard any sort of restraint. I think the rise of You Tube and Instagram only encourages people to show off and grab 5 minutes of fame amongst their mates .

I didn't manage to get to the meet this weekend, but i've been to a fair few before with a couple of friends.

The meets are always enjoyable, with a great mix of cars. It only seems recently have i seen people standing out the front recording people driving away.
It would be a real shame to have this cars and coffee gathering cancelled due to people who just can't just respect the fact that there's houses right next to the road.

I know everyone likes a blast, just a time and a place. I've also requested to join the gas guzzlers page too smile

I hear you OP - went to an Essex Car Meets event at Lamborghini Chelmsford a couple of weeks ago. Full of the YouTube mafia and cars being held on the flippin limiter in attempts to make the exhaust pop - wow how clever frown Meeting was completely overrun with chavs and had the crowd filming the leavers shouting the usual banal comments like "send it" etc. I'm sure some people enjoyed it but it was the worst sort of car meet I can imagine, regardless of the cars that were there to look at. Won't be bothering with those sorts of meets again.

I agree. We used to have a lovely monthly meet organised by a company specialising in modern classics, at a nice village pub. It grew, inevitably the standard of cars got worse, then people tried to outdo each other leaving the venue. Now cancelled.

Hopefully it will be resurrected as invite only...

It was a coin toss between Walton and White Lion Antiques at Hartley Wintney. Discovered that Adam C had posted several videos of the latter.
That was enough to tell me that there would be the usual mob baying for 'action' as cars left, so decided to drive over to Walton with a friend.
Met up with a couple of others at the meet.

A couple of hot hatch wannabes (one was barely old enough to shave) got a bit excitable, but nothing major. Other than that it was excellent.

Went to one of their meets last year and had the same experience. Wonderful collection of cars, including a McLaren Senna, but the same crowd as you mention along with filming cars revving engines and screaming away at the end. Have avoided their meets ever since.

There are quite a few low-key smaller breakfast meets with genuine petrolheads and I prefer those.

It seems another local meet which have been taking place recently at the Halfway in Kelvedon, Has decided to cancel all of there up coming events due to issues at the weekend with a few people, one being a certain high powered Supra which bounced off the limiter when leaving followed by spinning out in the road just up from the pub.

Not sure if anybody on here was also in attendance at that event at the weekend.

Typical, one person spoiling it for everybody else! Was it a blue Supra by any chance? If so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same person who was at the Lamborghini meet constantly revving to the limiter for most of the time I was there - have these people no mechanical sympathy if nothing else!!!!

Even the breakfast clubs held at Goodwood are getting a bit like this, with everyone gathered at the exit with camera phones in their hands.

Yes it was a Blue Supra, think it was at the Museum of Power the previous weekend too. Really nice car, just a shame the owners don't take into account there surroundings and just have a bit of respect for the venue and the people who live close by.

not as far as I saw. There was one twunt in a silver, (constantly) back-firing, ste-heap of a compact BMW. A few lukewarm hatches and some others.

We are therefore 'on probation'. More behaviour the same and it'll be curtains, I guess one good thing is plod has also taken an interest and so should be lurking on the roads throughout that time period. Hopefully the little stbags will find their insurance vastly increased.

If anyone has a video recording of it, pass it to the MoP owners for them to forward to Essex Roads Policing on twitter. The copper on there is fairly proactive at responding to things like this.
