Chelmsford Park & Rides (Chelmer Vally & Sandon) -Any good?

Does anyone here use the Park & Rides to commute into London from Chelmsford? Are they reliable? Pain in the backside? Whats the traffic like driving towards them in the morning. We have seen some nice houses that we like around Ford End, Little Leighs to the North and Little Baddow/Cold Norton from the East

The Sandon one works well. Traffic on the A12 southbound is very heavy in the morning from the Boreham interchange onwards, but that's only one junction previous, so you wouldn't, generally, get caught for long.

The Chelmer Valley one is not at all well used, so you might not want to base any long-term decisions on it.
