Wheel refurbishing?
Discussion
Lepsons is the default answer for wheel refurbishment for your part of the world. Based behind Gillingham station and totally brilliant
http://www.lepsons.com/
Wheels can be dropped off and picked up again in about 3 days if they have space, but can take a week if they are very busy.

Several people I've spoken to recently who have used Lepsons have said that the durability of the finish has been awful and that after less than a year, the paint has started flaking really quite badly. Not sure if something has changed with their process to cause this, but I've heard the same report from several different people who used them.http://www.lepsons.com/

However, Rimtec in Meopham is getting some decent praise. Have seen a wheel refurbished by them first hand, very nice finish. Hopefully durable as well.
Quattromaster has just bought a wheel refurb machine, but he's in essex.

Can only find LBC in Leeds which is more than 200 miles from my area
This is the LBC he means Only other option if you need to use the car, is get a mobile guy out, the finish won't be anywhere near as good as a proper refurb place though

Lepsons give a 12 month guarantee, so if their refubs didn't last that long, why didn't your 'people' take their wheels back? However, Rimtec in Meopham is getting some decent praise. Have seen a wheel refurbished by them first hand, very nice finish. Hopefully durable as well.

I have no idea. Perhaps I am mistaken, and it was just over a year. You come across as quite defensive. There's no need for it. I'm just passing on some anecdotal evidence to the effect that their finishes might not be the absolute last word in durability.

I'd also consider using www.mintalloys.com but they're a bit further away.

Used Rimtec in Meopham a couple of months ago to refurb some 18's, did a good job for the money. From memory it was about £240, only took two days and very friendly staff. Would use them again. Also if you pay a bit more I think they do a next day service.
+1, nice guys and very honest, although that did mean I ended up with a set of 3 alloy wheels after they found one of them had had a dodgy repair at some point after they had stripped it and they wanted me to come and have a chat with their engineer before they did any work on it. They could have just painted up all 4 and I'd have been none the wiser, but they only charged me for painting 3 of the wheels. Very good finish on the ones they did do though. I later found 2 matching wheels in very good original BBS finish and they match really well. They were just finish off some BMW Style 37's (diamond cut 18" jobbies, same as on my E39 5-series) and they looked stunning, will be taking mine there when the time comes.
