Classic scene in New Romney area?
Discussion
Hi vxkev, thanks for getting back to us.Reason I asked was that we are moving back down to kent next year & we have our eyes set on the New Romney/Dungeness area.Is there many classics down that way?I have a grp V8 British classic,be nice to know thee are a few like minded people down that way. What have you got?The vx could be a vx 4/90,nice cars if you can find one!My old motor is in lots of bits at present, just taken the dash out - pig of a job.
We are up in NE Scotland at present - been here 8 years now - time to come back home.Funny enough I buy Classic Car Weekly every week and the meet you mentioned is in there too.
Cheers from Tony.

Hi Tony the vx at the moment is a 3.2 omega but will shortly be upgraded to a Monaro of some kind. I do have a Mk1 Escort in my garage though but it needs some time to get it road worthy, There are quite a few people on the Marsh that have some sort of classic or collectable car it was a good turn out for the first meet around 30 cars, hopefully it will get bigger as the word gets around. Kev.
Hi vxkev, nothing wrong with an Omega unless it was a police car you were in the back! The Monaro is a great car with an excellent sounding engine, how long you had the Escort Mk1?Is it a two door with round lights - my favourites.Glad to know there are a few car nuts on the marsh, hoping to be down by next year. Here is a pic of my motor,I bought it as an unfinished project for a good price but it had loads missing.
Cheers from Tony.
