West Kent Village Fete Meeting - This Saturday, 21st June
Discussion
OK guys - After last years low'ish turn out due to the weekend clashing with Le Mans and the weather being somewhat "british" - I wanted to give this another try this year.
So, Speldhurst Village fete (West Kent, 2 miles from Tunbridge Wells) is on 21st June this year. Its a really nice, classic village fete - beer tent, cream teas, bouncy castle, lots of arts'n'crafts etc. Each year we also have a display of classic and sports cars which is really nice to see - think of it as a tiny "pistonheads sunday service" or "Goodwood brekky meeting" and you have the idea.
The fete runs all day and we have a midsummer party in the evening, with food, live music, beer tent etc. We'd need cars to arrive late morning, and you'd be free to go from around 3.30, 4.00'ish. It's a nice day out and generally a good laugh. It would be great to get as many as possible there this year although our limit would be around 40 cars.
Anything "interesting" is welcome - please PM me or email richard at rdw dot uk dot com to confirm attendance.
Cheers - Rich

OMG I actually live in Speldhurst! Our dog got 'prettiest bh' in the dog a show a couple of years back!
We'll stroll up this year for another pint or two of Larkins and some terrible luke warm curry from Langton Green Tandoori
The fete is in desperate need of better classic cars as currently there are one or two interesting actual classics and then the usual bloke who turns up in a c.1998 Alfa GTV Twin-Spark Spider with slightly curbed wheels.
