Well that was fun this morning, glad I don't have to use the M20 every day How long will it take to fill in I wonder? If they find any Roman remains then we're fked for months.

It was a nightmare in Sittingbourne last night even still at 8pm when I had to go back out. Its the same though any time there a accident/incident in or around Sittingbourne the town cant deal with it, especially as no one wants to use back roads because of "floods" at the moment.

Its the M2 not the M20 wink

Anyway on a serious note, Its being reported on Radio Kent that the motorway could be back open by tomorrow if the survey confirms the hole has stabilised. Maidstone was very free flowing this morning for no real reason that I could see !

I assume he used the M20 because the M2 was shut smile

I'd be amazed, and impressed, if it's open tomorrow - that was one very big hole. But as you say, if it's stablised then it (should!!!) be ok

Correct! Haven't used the M20 for a while and I'd forgotten how much heavy traffic there is on it. Makes the M2 in the early hours seem like a country lane.

There isn't a lane 3, though it's about time it was upgraded and went all the way to Dover.
