A chap I know in the North Fambridge area has almost finished his project.

He has taken a standard 1975 Porsche 911 2.7 (non RS) and basically rebuilt it and prepared it as a total labour of love. A complete ground up restoration.

He has made some alterations which would probably cause a few raised eyebrows at a Porsche classic event.

It now wears a 1978 Porsche Turbo Tea-tray on the rear and is powered by a 1978 3.3 Turbo unit.

He collected the seats from the workshop in Althorne today and they are staggering - the leather-work is just brilliant.

The final touches will be applied over the winter and it will finally see tarmac in the spring.

I have suggested that the PH Essex meet would be a nice way to introduce the car to some very like minded people - he is all for it and would be happy to show off his pride and joy.

Can't wait to see and hear this on the road......biggrin

Hi mate,

Yes, it has been a long time, unfortunately the 350 has gone, I wasn't driving it that much and we have a little boy now so I wasn't going to be using it hardly at all! It went off to Germany last year, I've been saving for my next toy, I think its going to be a GT3 just in time for when the little man can join me at a few meetsbiggrin How you doing mate?

Doing fine thanks - not running in anything of note at the moment, we had a little girl (Poppy) who will be two next month.

Glad to hear of your little one, and GT3 lust is no bad thing. cool

The Essex meets are always good for a catch up natter.
