Help with car stereo repair in Essex

Hi,
I have a 2006 Renault Espace with a Cabasse 6xCD head unit (PN-2806W-A), and the CD player won't work. I took it to my local repairer and they have quoted me £450 to repair. Apart from scrapping it, has anyone got any ideas?

Hi, I'm no expert but that seems like an uttter piss take. I just had a look on ebay, you can pick a head unit up for about £40. Just buy one from ebay and swap it over. Buy a haynes manual or have a look on youtube - might be a guide to removal. If not, post in the renault forum and one of the PH will point you in the right direction, or if you are really lucky someone might pop round and do it for you.
