Anyone else enjoy last nights visual entertainment?
Massive downpour complimented by a lightning show par excellence. Living on top of a hill helps I think I got a couple of (poor) pictures of the lightning - will post later.

Lake and I went for a blast in the Ashdown forest to enjoy the wet weather and storm.

At one point we were taking a long right-hand sweeper with empty fields 50 foot below so a fantastic view, then BANG - sheet lightning - just wish we had cameras.

Had to rate as one of the best drives ever

That was a great storm, one of the best for a long time. Saw this in the paper this morning.

The QE2 bridge almost took a direct hit.

Just a couple of very quick shots taken from my Digital. Bear in mind I wasn't using a time exposure, I was just shooting as it flashed.
