Any one recommend a company who can do a clutch on an 07 hawkeye STI in the Chelmsford area? Had a quote from Perkins in Dunmow £1144 nearly pooped myself on the spot. Mr Clutch Chelmsford £575 which sounded a whole lot better, I have always stuck to main dealers (hence perkins) for service etc but now the car has done 85,000 miles (original clutch) I am thinking a clutch is a clutch, Thanks folks.

I remember your plate on a black blob eye beforehand so I've kinda always noticed your car but never met.
Be cool to catch up at a meet sometime. As for the clutch, I do all my own work so can't help I'm afraid.

Update, Thanks for the reco guys,. Extreme did a great job not the cheapest of the quotes but somewhere in the middle fitted new Exedy clutch, skimmed flywheel and spigot bearing, pointed out the Alternator belt was on its way out so got that done as well. So far so good, picked up today, looking forward to giving the old girl some beans when I have let the clutch bed in a bit make a change being able to accelerate at 90 rather than just watch the revs climb and the speedo stay where it is:-)
If any one wants to no how much it cost pm me as I don't no whether or not I should post on here specific prices charges?
ONE HAPPY BUNNY!!!!!
