M20 closed 05/09//2013 Ashford

Anybody know what closed the M20 J11-J9 late last night?
Motorway was closed without any diversions signposted - leaving shagged-out drivers (like me) returning from Dover desperately seeking sat-nav inspiration to get back on course.

A female motorcyclist was knocked off and run over apparently.

The motorbike accident was earlier in the day between Jct 9-10. The accident just before Jct 10 late at night was caused by a collision between a truck, camper van and a car or two IIRC. I was caught up in the snarl just after the accident happened.

I was there for a little over two hours, although I had an odd/interesting time stood chatting in the middle of the M20 with a trucker having a brew he made us both. Good lad!

Around 12am the police rounded up all the cars and took us in convoy back to Jct 11. My 20 min journey turned into a 2.5 hr journey, but it was the truckers I felt sorry for as the road didn't reopen until 0400 apparently!

According to local news reports she fell off her bike, no other vehicles were involved.
