This meet has been well attended and has attracted a lot of new visitors. So come along have some breakfast and see some cars. Bring the Wags and children its a good place to be.

So come along on Saturday 14th September(second Saturday in the month) to the Horseshoe Nursery Bicknacre and have another great breakfast.

Mark and Julie the owners are very enthusiastic to welcome us back. There is a large car friendly car park.

We start arriving around 9-00 am onwards and meet up with the Essex group PH car nuts.

Location map http://maps.google.co.uk/?q=CM34LR
And the Horseshoe website is here www.horseshoe-nurseries.co.uk/

Its a good place for all of the family and freinds and there were a lot of children present all enjoying being close up with some iconic cars.

This may be the last meet here this year. Its quite weather dependant and we have been lucky to date. Let me know your views.

Ken

Can't be there Ken.

Japanese Auto Extravaganza at Wicksteed Park near Kettering that weekend.

The Integra (and myself lending the car from my Carl) will be off the grid for the weekend.

Beer, food, Japanese metal and great people all in the same place - can't miss it.

Will happily attend in October. cool

I heard some very bad news today . Apparently the Nursery is having a CLOSING DOWN SALE! So seems like we may need to find a new venue! Bummer I like the Horseshoe

Oh no that is a huge shame if they are indeed shutting up shop. It is a really good venue.

I was told in confidence a short while ago of that the owners had to move on which is a shame because they had put a great deal into this nursery. Its not clear currently if this will close completely or maybe be acquired by new owners. I have been made aware of an alternative venue but my intention is to wait and see for a while.

I always intended to run this for the summer months only but if you guys want it to run longer then I will continue to post up.

So lets see how things unfold.

I know that quite a few have other plans that clash with the next meet but if those intending to come would add their names to the list that would help as I usually give Julie an indication of numbers a few days before the meet. Cheers guys.

1) Ken ......... 355
2) Bruce ....... Ferrari

The early days of JAE when we all made a weekend of it were brilliant, it last 3/4 years then took a decline sadly and ive not been since 2006 ish.

I think I went in 06 Steve. It's all drift crap and stick on tat. Only had about 3 cars there I was actually interested in looking at.
Not like Ford Fair or RS national day used to be.

I'd rather go down the local cafe with my mates and have some breaky. wink
