Strange lights in the sky
Discussion
I live in Brentwood and when I went out for a walk last night at about 9:40, I noticed a strange light in the sky. It was like there was a massive light behind a cloud that was making the cloud glow and the glow was flickering. I know you are probably thinking "Bright light in the night sky?, that will be the moon you bellend!", but I was looking in the wrong direction for it to be the moon.
I then saw patches of light zooming around as if someone was shining a search light at the clouds. I couldn't see any beams of light coming up from the ground, just round patches of light in the sky moving around very quickly, sometimes just one, sometimes two and sometimes three.
I told my Dad to go outside and have a look and he saw it too. There was one strange moment when three irregular shaped areas of the sky lit up at the same time and then the lights that looked like search lights started zooming around again. Then one patch of sky lit up and became very bright before disappearing. By about 10:20 I could see faint lights above where I live, but the brighter stuff looked like it was now several miles away.
I'm 36 and my Dad is 70 and we both stood watching it thinking "WTF???" because neither of us had seen anything like it before in our combined 106 years. Anyone else see anything?
I wasn't drinking, I don't take drugs and I promise I'm not even slightly mental!
