Mobile Speed Traps - A20
Discussion
I don't know what it is but for the past few months I have been seeing mobile traps operated by police from the marked/unmarked 5 series/Volvo's and marked shoguns on the A20, always in either:
Flamingo Park Layby
Londonbound By the Dutchouse pub (between Mottingham Station lights and the Land of Leather Roundabout)
Coastbound at the crossing between the Land of Leather roundabout and the Mottingham station junction
Coastbound on the flyover above the Orpington junction itself
I don't understand why they have started targeting this patch, always safe, even at double the posted limit....like shooting fish in a barrel!
(no I haven't been caught yet, but did come close on a few occasions)

Aren't there cameras there anyway? I know there is a place on the A226 in Swanscombe where there is a camera and sometimes a van too. Utter waste of resources.
Yep, one heading Londonbound about 500m after the flamingo Park layby (normally facing the other way though) and there is one right next to where they stop people with the lights (although there haven't been any lines on the ground for over a year now). They seem to have stepped up speed enforcement in general a lot lately - I've seen several camera vans and unmarked cars doing speed checks, specifically on the A2 between canterbury and dover. A guy in a black lancer got pulled by police in a white unmarked octavia today and he didn't even seem to be going that fast.
