Could do with having the front end of my newly acquired car resprayed....
Firstly; any recommendations around these parts??
Secondly what would be involved in spraying the front of the car? basically the bumper and the leading edge of the bonnet and winds need doing. Would they spray those complete panels and blend in the doors, or blend on the wings/bonnet, or spray upto the shut lines? Would they routinely remove other parts/trim or just mask off?
And lastly, how much should I expect to pay?!
Ta muchly...

If I isn't a classic car, why pay Hilton and Moss prices? They do repair Mercs after all...there are loads of places that will do a good job repairing your Astra...
I'm curious, in terms of paintwork, what would be the difference in respraying a merc and an astra? (although its actually the monaro, lol)rix said:

Nothing of course, provided you can afford the labour rates which are of course, a function of a number of factors including...size of premises (Raynham Road is rather er....'large')....staff overheads (there a quite a few..) and of course Peter's standard of living ....Frankly, I am surprised I needed to point that out to you, but v happy to clarify it. After all, if I had said that 'they base their charges on the surface area of the car and add on 100% if the car is a GM product', you'd think I was pulling your plonker, right?

Agree, I'm surprised we have not seen his boat in the "super boat" thread, lol.rubystone said:

Thanks, I've no experience of them nor the proprietor's standard of living! So... Which are these body shops that could make a good job of my non-specific GM product? I just want a decent job without unnecessary pretence for a reasonable price. A bit of guidance on price and what the job would entail would of course be welcome.
