I saw dogs, people smoking and they were selling alcohol all day!

Was only a tenner to get in wasn't it?

Rob, I thought I saw Ken's 355 flanked by what i thought was a familiar 348. (I saw and heard you leave down the road from across the valley in the Porsche section!)

I was fortunate enough to see it from the point of view of someone with a car on display. I think there were some very positive things about the show and some negative, and slightly odd, things.

I think the chap wearing the jacket with Pebble Beach splashed across it who was greeting us on the way in was indicative of what they were trying to achieve.

I hope they do it again next year, it could turn into a right, proper thing - and right on our collective doorstep.

Me and a mate went, was quite good.

However we didn't pay a penny, I thought it was a tenner but we literally just walked in, no one taking money anywhere to be seen?

I'm always amazed at people starting their cold engines and revving the st out of them. Ouch!

I just happened to notice you coming out of the car park in formation; then about 90 seconds later heard the noise from the main road hehe

Some very expensive metal being redlined from cold, found that quite surprising.

£10 for access from the Public Car park. I think you paid £20 for the privilege of parking closer and pretty much in the show itself.

It was a really good day, considering it was their first year it was well organised although they need to improve the access to and from the public car park if it is going to increase its visitor numbers. I was queuing for about 30mins to get out onto the main road.

Looked like a lovely event and venue. I will try and get along next year, would be great to see some more pictures.

You are correct Bob,familiar cars our three are smile, ok perhaps a bit harsh was I ,but if I want a fag ,I'll have one,the fag ends always go in the pocket unless ashtrays provided.................
I would like to see some of the profits go to charity and not for the greens Fund (as I was told by someone who remains nameless)....over 7000 visitors = 70k at a tenner....10k could have gone to a nominated charity..
I wonder what the 'slightly odd' things are your talking about ....sounds intruiging smile

I went along to this and had a good time. I was surprised at how many cars were there and the setting was lovely, although I agree that £10 was a little steep for entry. I enjoyed looking around the visitors cars as much as the proper show ones, to be honest! I only took two photos - one was my favourite car and the other was simply pictured for being a foul colour. See if you can guess which is which. wink

You say you were pleasantly surprised by the amount of quality vehicles there, but moan about a tenner to have access to them all day...?

I could list them all out here but that would probably make it seem much worse than it actually was, and it really wasn't bad at all I thought. I think my principal issue was whether this was Essex meets Pebble Beach or "just" a car show; it needs to be one or the other I think, and this first run had elements of both.
