A good day out for £49 + fuel. Maybe we should organise another one later this year. See you all at the Lodge next week.

Little bit slippery over there isn't it

It was a bit slippery out there. Good for sliding the back out, and kinder on the tyres. Not so good for getting a fast time though.

I was there too with my two friends in the black MX5 who were practicing for their sprint debut. Those Griffs looked immense fun!

I had a chat with the couple in the black MX-5, like you say they were practicing for the Sprint at North Weald that Sunday. The circuit layout they showed me looked very different to the courses we where doing. I saw them on the M25 on the way back home as well. I wonder how they got on.

What car was you in? Griffs were indeed fun / a handfull.

Ha ha! They will laugh when I tell them you thought they were a couple! They are just friends, mates of mine, she is old enough to be his mum and he "bats for the other side"!!! I did speak to the TVR drivers, a younger guy and his boss? I was just there encouraging them to drive faster than they thought they could!! They both gave me a turn each though....
They both debuted their first sprint on that Sunday, in the 1600cc standard roadgoing class. Lee was only 0.4 secs off getting a 2nd place trophy at his first attempt. We are back there this Sunday for round 2 or the sprint championship, them in the same car and me in my R1 bike-engined car ( not in the same class!!! )
