route planning
Discussion
hi folks, wondered whether what the consensus is for software for route planning......ie/ what do most people use or don't you use anything for planning 'fun' routes ( as opposed to journeys ).
For the past few years i've been using TYRE and am thinking about making many of the routes that i've done for kent, sussex, hants available for download ( free) ......but wondering in reality whether folks outside our own club will want to or will make use of them......as it obviously involves a degree of work uploading them in the 1st place.
so....would this potentially be of use to you guys? the routes tend to start between maidstone across to edenbridge and then vary from return journeys to a simple 1 way to a cafe run....between 50-100 miles.

No way of knowing whether those outside PH would do so. TYRE is good for integrating Google Maps with sat nav (Tom Tom/Garmin).greengreenwood7 said:

Yes, why not? For my part I have been organising runs for an owners club for over 6 years. They incorporate several decades of searching out the most interesting roads in the south east.winshent said:

Only disclose these to peeps you've met..sorry RD just realised why you said on the other thread - 'heard you the first time'.....there was an eror when i posted this 1st thread, so didnt realise that it had actually loaded 2x - sorry folks.
otherwise....
Vince - agree about 'secret squirrel' if folks are arranging an actual run but as RD says, anyone can choose a bit of tarmac to drive on, teh question is WHEN......without the time element i don't personally see any reason to be concerned about sharing.
