Weather check in Canterbury and Whitstable...?

I have an anxious mother making an early-morning drive from Teddington tomorrow to a funeral. She's a bit worried about travelling (somewhat unnecessarily in my view) and I've looked at all the forecasts to reassure her but she's asked me if I can ask the 'internet people in Kent' if there are any problems with getting around and about in the Canterbury and Whitstable areas.

If anyone can reassure her (and me to a degree - I don't want her worrying!) that would be greatly appreciated.

I was supposed to be driving to Whitstable from Romney Marsh this morning to help a mate dismantle a garage. He cancelled as the roads near him were/are getting difficult.

Hi,
I live in Whitstable and work in Margate. I've been to Margate this morning without too much hassle but a colleague was trying to get in from Maidstone and managed to end up facing the wrong way on the thanet way (A299) Its still snowing here and unless your journey is absoulutely necessary.
