pretty much as it says up top....would welcome any cafe recommendations, in an ideal world ones that are open both Sats and Sundays - early ish.

Often ponder where to end a run out and aside from the 'usual' favourites i'm finding it hard to track new places.

the ones i currently use...
ashford - american diner
hawkhurst fisheries
oakdene @ wrotham
riverview - yalding
oasis new romney
harbour cafe - rye
deal pier

so any other suggestions / recommends?

Village Cafe in Walderslade Village is good, 10 minutes from J3 M2.
There is a great burger wagon with undercover chairs in Aylesford Quarry Wood estate, opposite Halfords.

Mark,
Is this for a SKCC run? I assume you also needs a reasonable car park?

The diner going up bluebell hill is a not bad.
Danaway cafe on the a2 is a bit like Oakdene.

I like the clifftop cafe in capel-le-ferne, only open from april ish to october and only from 10am (so not really early) but great views across the channel.

The hill out of folkestone is a nice piece of DC

I've eaten in there once & it was dire! Swore never again. Poor quality & over cooked. Not particularly cheap either. Has it got better since then?

I've eaten in there recently and it was OK. Not dire but I did feel ripped off.

Maidstone - Munchies. Lovely grub and good service. Can't say I rate oakdene much though. Bit like a prison cafe. wink

H's Cafe next to the Honda Dealer on the A2 just before the Lydden turning - lots of parking and shiny motorbikes.

Its call The Tuck Inn. Gets very busy especially on a Sunday but well worth a visit.

few good shouts there for new ones or ones i havent been to for ages.....
ideally need some more suggestions for south west kent/sussex.....

that cliff top cafe at Capel is a great place on a clear day, but the late opening time is a pain......

( Hol ) yeah inspiration needed for skcc runs, so parking a consideration - but that varies depending on tehnumbert of cars out that particular day.....

have found some stonking cafe's at fisheries over in west sussex, but aside from hawkhurst fisheries seems they're thin on the ground ober this way?

LoL, saw the thread title and clicked on it to recommend The Chalet. The only negative is its 2 miles from my house so I don't get a good drive/workout before a full English there. Yes yes, poor me wink
