New specs on Kent section of M25?

Yes, there were a lot of cones and vans near them last night. Hoping the M25 isn't going to turn into a SPECS zone.
It will. There are lots of speed cameras in the W and SW section of the M25, it is
inevitable they will spread to the SE section.
Of course, being forced to drive slowly isn't the same as driving carefully.

I would say it almost certainly is The first time I saw them I continued at the speed I was travelling at but when I went past a few days ago I slowed down to 70 in case they'd been activated. The whole thing ruins that stretch of motorway - people lose what little lane discipline they had in the first place, idiots brake every time they see the camera, and other people blast through at 100+ because they think they know something I don't.Googles your friend
Next phase of M25 improvements on the Kent/Surrey section of the M25. There will be a 50mph restriction in place - that'll be what the specs are for then

I'm guessing part of that improvement will include more gantries with variable speed cameras going in.

^That link is just a ruse to stop people asking too many questions. This is actually a trial section for switching over to driving on the right like the rest of europe, have you not noticed that the cameras are facing the wrong way?
And they are going to do it in stages, HGV's first then a year later for cars. Are the cameras facing that way to catch bikes speeding through?

I can confess my Snodland>M20>M26>M25>A23 commute is an absolute nightmare in the mornings...
Ooof, I do the opposite commute (Brighton to Walderslade) and wouldn't swap! You have my sympathy, it looks like hell most days! The 40mph section of the A23 (finishing Autumn 2014!) isn't too much fun either.
going down this stretch daily from crawley to thurrock.
I know about specs and how they work normally, but here they alternate between front facing and rear facing cameras. If im on the bike, and pass one thats rear facing and gets my plate, the next one is say front facing and therefore no way of monitoring me, but say the next one after that is rear facing, do they calculate the speed from one rear facing to another?
