Motorcyclist killed in accident on A12 in east London
A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving a car and another bike in east London.

The driver of the car, thought to be a light-coloured Renault Clio, failed to stop after the crash on the A12 near Gallows Corner in Havering on Friday.

A man aged in his 40s died at the scene and the second motorcyclist was treated for minor injuries.

Appealing for help to trace the driver, police said the car's rear windscreen was shattered in the collisions.

Officers said the vehicle was driven off towards Essex after the accident just before 17:00 GMT.

From where I have seen people putting flowers out I am guessing that it was just after the flyover heading towards London, I dont think that they have live cameras on there. Turns out that it was a Laguna not a Clio.

Recorder said that it was close to junction with Rise Park Boulevade - that is 1/2 a mile or due west of Gallows Corner on A127. Paper also said that a third biker 'gave chase' after the car and police were waiting to hear from him. Let's hope that he found the driver and the police are 'on to it'.

You're not telling me that with all the cameras around London that a light coloured Laguna with damage fleeing from the area wasn't seen around that time with an identifiable reg!? Here's hoping plod or onto this one.

Went past the accident site today - I'm going to guess that Laguna pulled out of Rise Park Boulevade, turning East in front of bikers - hence reported damage to rear of car.
