The Windmill pub at East Hanningfield (CM3 8AA) is to start a car meet in similar vein to The Hare.
Basically, turn up in what you have and have a gas to like minded people and maybe a bit of breakfast.
The first meet is planned for the 3rd of November, but the idea is to have one on the 3rd Saturday of the month in future so's not to conflict with The Hare meets.
I understand that there is a big car park and also an overspill car park available.
If it gets to be as popular as The Hare, it will be very popular with lots of varied classic and modern cars attending

Sounds good, it's certainly a larger car park than the Hare's and the food has been nice the few times I've frequented said establishment.

Conveniently close to that small stretch of tarmac along the reservoir too wink

I have no idea what it'll be like, there was a card on the car inviting people at the last Hare.

Ar$e, I'm away this weekend mad

Be good if this gets up and running for the 3rd saturday of the month going forward. With The Hare on the 1st and, hopefully, The Cherry Tree on the 2nd or 4th next summer we will be spoilt for choice biggrin

Rob,

I think it's you I've spoken to a few times at various events over the past couple of years incl the Hare, with the VX220 and your Dad's got a Megane RS - think I last saw you at the Hilton & Moss Show??

Cheers
Gavin

Just one picture, but what a picture! Raced by Vic Elford!

Didn't catch the owners name, but if he or his mate would like to tell all a bit more about it I think a few would be interested.

Shame about the right royal c*ck up on venue, but a good first meet, hopefully a few more next time, and a cracking fry up too!

Yep, all the 911uk 'ers went to the Old Windmill in South Hanningfield as oppose to the Windmill Tavern in East Hanningfield - though as someone mentioned it's odd how we all did it!

Can't find it now, but I am sure that South Hanningfield was mentioned here in this thread, somewhere, so premature sinility isn't the cause.

Nope...South was never mentioned...not in this thread....had everyone googled the postcode which Acme first posted, then all would have been revealed as to where it was....all info was given correctly thumbup

There's a pic/detail on this car on p22 of November's Porsche Post - cracking to see it out and about.
