The folks at JD Classics have another of their open days this Sunday with John Surtees in attendance. I have never been to one of their events and am told they are worth a visit so may drop by biggrin

So, anyone else making an appearance ?

Hope to be there, but I'm having surgery tomorrow, so may not be up to it.

Not sure currently but, weather permitting, will aim to be there c10am if not a little earlier. I'll text you over the weekend to confirm as I need to meet a fellow TVR owner on Sunday and hand over some video evidence of the latest tunnel run whistle

I assume you will be bringing that shouty German estate car of yours ?

Just rang them - runs from 8.30 to 11.30 and have facilities to buy breakfast ( burger vans or such like) so I may go early before the rush and grab breakfast.

I was thinking of taking my name off the PS SS list and coming to this. Closer which means not such an early start.
Anyone want to convoy there from the Lodge? Or is there somewhere else?
You never know, I may drink too much the night before and not make it.
Remember the clocks change too!!!!

Not sure about the John Surtees breakfast meeting this weekend, but the Stirling Moss breakfast meeting in November is by invitation only. As there will be invitees who cannot make it, you can give your contact details to JDC and be entered in a draw to get the spare tickets. I left my details and was lucky enough to get 2 tickets for the Nov meeting smile

This weekend (28th) is just a "turn up" one - I checked when I spoke with them.

Doubt I'll make this now. Freezing rain out there today and it looks the same tomorrow.
My roof is still down in the garage and the thought of trying to put it (the roof) up when cold scares me. I don't want it to crack/split frown

I will be there for Moss but can't make Surtees. Surtees is usually better value than Moss in terms of anecdotes and i hope Damien Smith teases some of his Ferrari stories out of him.
