Hi all,

I bought my first car recently and would like to take a few decent photographs of it. I don't mind an industrial or countryside background, I'm based near Canterbury so there's a bit of industrial area near me and a lot of countryside and coastal area, so fire away

Thanks
Nathan

Margate down by the harbour is good, some good lighting down there for night shots.

Get yourself down to Dungeness if you've not been, an incredible place and a nice drive down.

The area around Oare, near Faversham is nice too.

The harbour/beach in Broadstairs?

Thanks for the response
I have been before but before I could drive and I would go to Dungeness if I could afford the petrol, I will research Oare see where to shoot the car, Broadstairs harbour could be done on the same day as the Margate harbour.

Don't go to Margate, it's a dump.

Better, Herne Bay, Sandwich, Reculver Towers, Whitstable, How about Deal Castle?

Entrance to Eastwell manor: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=ashford&hl=en&a...

Up near Stour Valley: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=ashford&hl=en&a...

Few nice places over around Wye too.

Or for a more urban shot, some of the back streets around Canterbury Cathedral?

Margate's alright as long as your not by yourself and don't annoy the locals, I can't see how herne bay is better than margate but that's your opinion, there's no where in herne bay that isn't crawling with boy racers showing off, sandwich I don't know too well so some research on google maps will be required, you cant get close enough to the towers for a decent photo, I've already done a microshoot in Whitstable industrial estate but I want to revisit, how close can you get to deal castle?

Fair enough, Magate is a nice place on a sunny day or clear night with the harbor all light up, it's much better than Herne bay which is always full of posers in there Subaru Imprezza's

You can drive and park along the quay at Ramsgate Harbour.
