Hi people
Looking to have a new set of alloys sprayed a different colour. Anyone recommend someone/somewhere around Chelmsford that does a first class job? Would rather pay more for a good job...
Thank you

There a little way from you however I have only ever heard good things about Spit and Polish in Tonbridge, I have not used them personally thought. I beleave they may collect and deliver as they always seem to have a fair few vans outside.

Essex is proberly the most over populated county for wheel refurbishers, here's a few I'd suggest, depending on what you want.

I have accounts with the big boys and can get them sent away for you at cost for a fellow PH member if you want me too.

Mint alloys
Supreme wheels
Just wheel repair
Rolling rims
Ar wheelcare
Gp alloys
Elite wheels
Alloy art

Avoid Wicked Wheels if you can.

Lepsons in Gillingham are very good if you can venture over the bridge.

I got a fantastic finish on my wheels from Lepsons but was a bit frustrated that when i got them back they wouldn't fit on the car lol......... that had put too much powder coat or paint or maybe both in the centre hole so it wouldn't locate on the hub frown Not the end of the world to sort out but shouldn't have been like that really......... i also had to flatten down the hub face aswell as they had had put quite a thick finish on that which i'm not sure is supposed to be done atall really ?

Following that i went to BJV with another set........ they were seriously cheap biggrin though the finish wasn't quite so good and a couple of small dimples in the finish aswell and generally they haven't been quite so easy to keep clean as the Lepsons wheels, for the price i was happy enough though smile

How long ago did you have the wheels done by lepsons ??

this/these problems have been sorted a year or two ago , the backs done get painted at all , the centers are now masked up , with just a light finishing coat to stop corrosion

Ill drop you a note this evening Rob, if you can get the alloys to Stortford I can get them sent away, 2 day turnaround, full strip, prime, colour and powder coat.

At cost to you of £45 per alloy.

The company in question is Mint alloys, we use them for lots of work, never had a problem so far.

Im sure google will bring up some info regarding them.

Does that include tyre removal and balancing etc? would they collect two additional tyres and fit them in place of two knackered tyres?

yes

They used to be in the industrial park just past the fire station in Sutton Road Southend, but have since moved to Rochford. A couple of years ago they refurbed some rare TRD Alumi K wheels for a friend of mine. Top quality job.

This is my mates place. I also always rammed with high end wheels which says something. Give him a go:
