Unless you know the real reasons for the closure ,there's no need for any smart comments, yes its shut for good ,due to high increases in land rent and rates!!!
I've been in contact with the last tennant as of today.
I was giving my opinion based on my own one off dining experience and how empty the car park was whenever I passed. I wasn't being smart. I've been in contact with the last tennant as of today.
I did not mean that answer for you in any manner whatsoever, sometimes when Questions asked like this, they can generally give rise to a whole host of comments,so nip it in the bud,and cures any problems.
yes it is very unfortunate that this happened, but fear not ,it WILL rise again from the ashes, and be a whole lot better than it ever was.

Dear all,
It is with regret that we have to announce that the 8 Ball Diner closed today. As many of you know we suffered a great loss when, after a huge cock up on their part, the council shut us down while chasing debts from tenants occupying the building long before we took over the site. It has not been possible to recover from this set back despite all the hard work of the staff and the support of our loyal customers.
This action has not been taken lightly but we are not able to continue trading until the matter with the council has been addressed.
Many thanks to all our staff and customers.

It's a shame, because the place showed promise when it opened - and I could see what they were trying to achieve.
I've been there several times, both for 'club nights' and also for breakfast when passing, and it seemed that the teething issues never really got ironed out (speed of service, cleanliness of tables, friendliness of (some) staff etc).
The location was good in some ways & a problem in others - easy access but excess traffic noise, short slip roads etc.

Great shame as this was a nice place for 'petrol heads' We met there for the Fiat 126 club. I waited nearly 2 hours for my food !!!!!
Rover club on next table decided never again.
Ford club in car park decided Never again.
sadly so did we. Over the till is a sign that proudly says ' if you want fast food go to McDonalds. MMMM true but 2 hours !!!!!
It needs new owners that understand that Happy customers return.
