Four of us are heading to Dover soon and wondered if someone local would be kind enough to recommend a good pub for a spot of decent lunch?

Would prefer to keep away from the Maccy D's/KFC/Burger King establishment.

Would also prefer to avoid the bog standard "chain pub" venue too.

The type of place we'd prefer to give our custom (and cash) to would be a decent little pub run by local people serving decent food at a reasonable price.

Could be in the centre of Dover or say within 5 miles or so?

Would appreciate any help/advice.

Cheers!thumbup

Thanks again for taking the time to post up. beer

Sorry, only just seen this.

Lydden Bell on the old A2, just outside of Dover is very good.
