...from the halfway house to the fortune of war.

Sigh reads "Weekend safety barrier, temporary 40mph speed limit for public safety" or some such crap.

Not seen any work or workmen in the last 3 weeks. WTF is going on? Does anyone know. People, even HGV's are completely ignoring this limit, only banned once muggins here seems to be driving at 40 scared stless that a scamera is lurking in the bushes. Grrrrr

Yep madness. There's a barrier for each direction with grass in the middle and it's still 70 mph going the other way.... It's there for our safety. Dcw with physical separation from the other direction and they make it a 40mph yet a normal Nsl road is 60mph with no separation at all. Who makes this st up?

Your not the only one, I have been doing 40 through there too. I wish they would just get it fixed. Surely its more dangerous to have lorrys etc doing 60 ignoring the limit passing and or flying up behind cars doing 40 that the barrier!

It is likely to go on for a while yet. It is that time of year when councils have to spend their budget pots or lose that money in the new tax year. As such they have an annoying habit of starting jobs in March so they can allocate the cost to the current tax year. However, that does not mean they have to complete those jobs by April 5th mad

They had people dotted along to side of the A127 playing with the over head cables the other day.

I nearly started a thread about this the other day, the safety barrier looks exactly the same as it always has.

In the last few months they have for some inexplicable reason put in crash type barriers on the curb side. After the Upminster turn off and before the M25 turn off and before the Brentwood turn off. These barriers are about 50 yards long. At the front they have a luminous hazard sticker. I find them to be quite distracting.

They're putting sewers in. They've already done work between Warley and Childerditch.
No cameras, 40 limit and armco is to protect workers.

it's fair enough to impose it and I'm all for it but it is frustrating when not much is seen.
I have however seen them in the evenings after about 10 and hat off to them, they are working.
