Hi, bit of a longshot this one...
If anyone out there is willing to help, I am after transporting an 8x8ft garage door from my parents house to my place (about 1/2 a mile).

At the moment my only option is to hire a flat bed lorry for an entire/weekend for £££.

So if anyone is about over the weekend and willing to do a fellow PHer a favor I'd be very gratefull and happy to pay for your services.

Thanks
Lee

Can't help, but someone with one of those ''glass racks'' on the side of the their van may also be able to help

Cheers mate, thanks for the offer, your right, one of them racks would be perfect.

If one doesnt get offered by around 4pm today I'd be very grateful for your help. I'll send you a PM either way.

Cheers

Sorry think you misread my post don't have a van myself (But if you can figure out how to carry a garage door on a Caterham I'm open to offers!biggrin)

I was only trying to broaden your options.

Could strap & blankets to the ladder racks on the roof of the Jeep if it just 1/2 a mile TBH. Ping me a PM if you want.
You supply the straps & duvet (to protect the door & my ladder racks).

Ahh I see, yeah I dont think a garage door would quite fit on a caterham, although I would make for a funny photo!

Thanks for the offer but I've been offered to do that with my parents Rangie, would rather not risk damaging anyones car though.

Cheers

1/2 a mile I'd do that or even TBH carry it!

My sister and her husband had this predicament and in the end, just walked it on a skateboard (1.5 miles) hehe

If no one has offered by the 26th I'll be back in the UK and we can put it on the roof of the 110 Landy.

Okay it'll stick out a little on the sides but shouldn't be a problem.
