I spot carlimits have an activity day (Sunday 29th Jan).

Anyone else considering this? Fingers crossed it's not snowing!...

If Santa thinks I've been good enough I should be getting one of their gift vouchers for Christmas so will be looking to do one in the new year.

What can I expect from the day and how hard is it on tyres?

Depends how you drive, Ive seen a Supra go through two sets of rears in a morning!!
The surface can be a little harsh, pump up your tires to avoid feathering on the edges, and drive like miss daisy and you will be fine.
Hope for rain and it is a hoot

The benefit of NW is no black flags for drifing, and very little to hit.
It is great fun.

If its hard concrete like lots of airfields, it will mince tyres...

Morning high speed bend is a taster, you'll have around 8 attempts at a high speed bend. Speed gun job will clock your entry speed into the bend and so give you a target to beat (to make it interesting). 8 x on a high speed bend on properly inflated tyres will do very little harm. Afternoon is either 2 small circuits or one longer msa type sprint circuit. Depending on driving style you may wear tyres a little, but nowhere near the extent you would on an airfield track day. Timed runs make it interesting and give targets to aim for, but the big bonus of the whole day is you can drive like a loon and drift around the whole circuit having a laugh and not get black flagged. So much fun. :tu:

Ah found the thread smile

This sounds like fun, now I have not done any track time at all so would this be a good opportunity to get some experience driving in that manour and driving the GTA quick while legal? Also is there enough room to spin without crashing into a barrier or something? smile
