Canterbury Saab
Discussion
I bought their spray oven and equipment from them 5 months ago, so it was on the cards.
I guess the body shop shut first and the rest of the dealership followed.
The sales guys asked if we could repair the cars for them, glad I said no (or should of i said lucky i said no), could see us chasing money's for repairs we carried out without any success.
shame for anyone having to shut in these testing times .

Such a shame Canterbury Saab had been the main Saab dealer to stick it out in Kent for nearly 27yrs I think.
The bodyshop was seperate from Canterbury Saab and was owned and run by Andrew Jackson he just retired at Christmas last year after having enough of cars and Smart repairers!!

Yep, that's sad. They gave me plenty of help with my "proper" Abbott tuned 900 before GM took Saab over and murdered the marque.
I think rallycross ace Will Gollop was the MD right until the end ?

I only visited the bodyshop twice , first time was to view spray oven and equipment this was when i Met Andrew , the workshop had new saab's and Mitsi's sitting in there .
How i took the guess of the connections to dealerships and that while my staff were down there over a 2 week period dismantling the oven they said that a few new cars were being dealership prepped for sales , and that they spoke to Will himself as its his buildings so had concerns that we "KDS" did not damage anything .
My second and last visit there was to oversee the task of removing the intake and exhaust from the roof , i was on my own while staff popped out to grab dinner when Mr gollop came in said "hi is everything going to plan"
Strange way to meet someone i watched for years competing in rallycross and the master at what he did.

Such a shame to read this, although pretty inevitable given SAABs circumstances over this past year. My dad had 7 9000's in a row from them over the years and I even did my work experience there when I was at school. Are they carrying on with the recently acquired Mitsubishi franchise or packing up altogether?
