Coming home from work last night around 7pm, what looked like a lowered Blue MK10 Jag absolutely thundered past in the opposite direction.
Looking at some photos of these cars, they appear to hug the ground in any case but this thing looked especially low and it was very loud.

I'm curious if anyone else has seen this car or knows of it - it was a bit of a beast.
It is now on my want list, along with a Rover P5B and a Rover Vitesse 3.5 (I've already got the creme de la creme of Rover output - the 416GSi Beast-o-matic)

I've seen (probably) that one at a couple of local shows - Battlesbridge.

I believe that it's running a Chevy V8 & prepared for drag racing; albeit street legal. I've (probably) got a photo at home - I'll have a look later & post accordingly.

Was at a classic car show at Powderham castle recently and was looking at a tidy MK10. Was some moments before I sussed that it was running a carbed V12 engine!

It has a twin supercharged 8 litre chevy v8 with nitrous, and is supposed to be running about 900bhp!

hi, first time on here, friends keep telling me to log on. I'm the MK10 Jag owner! I've owned it for 10 years and just recently completely refurbished it. Also just rebuilt engine, as I melted 5 pistons at the Sep 10 Drag race meeting. Too much boost! Here's a couple of up to date photos

That is beautiful, classic Jaguar lines combined with a great stance and also has the minerals to back it up! Unusually it took me a few looks before I noticed the Escos behind it that I would normally be more intersted in.

stats on mk 10 beast:- 8 litre twin superchargers. Was 900 hp have now tamed it down to 650 ish as I use it more on the street than track. My last drag day it ran 12 sec 126 mph, still spinning tyres at 60 ft. 0 to 60 around 3.5 seconds. Most important it makes me smile when ever I drive it. Drove it to Le Mans 24hr weekend a few years ago.

I appreciate it's rather late in the season but will you be taking the car to any meetings in the foreseeable future. I'd love to see it close up and in the flesh.

When you went to Le Mans did you have a BP Tanker as a travelling companion?

I followed you off the A12 at the Stock/Galleywood exit a few Saturdays ago I believe,I was in my blue Noble M400 and you gave it a nice little fishtail as you left the mini roundabout. It looks truly epic on the road! I had a look at the car at duringthe airfield meet at Cocks Clark in the summer, that car is something you should be very proud of.

God I love that car - have seen it all over the place - last time at The Hare in the summer, but Keith also graced the PCGB BBQ with it a couple of years ago - sharing space with my Ferrari :-)

Re-claims the awesomeness of the car as seen through a school-boy's eyes back in the 60s. cloud9
