Is anyone from the Essex area heading over to this? Thought it might be good to get a little convoy going.

I'll be travelling from deepest, darkest Dengie but I'm sure we could find somewhere convenient to meet if anyone fancies it.

May well be going............ on the list anyway smile

Not sure yet what i'm doing about getting there, really boring journey as it's mostly motorway frown

I may get up extra early and go across the Capital taking in some of the sights whilst London sleeps biggrin which is what i did for the last SS and quite enjoyed the city in the early hours......... will be weather dependant though rolleyes

Unfortunately we don't seem to have got many responses to this. Definitely like the idea of a run through the capital while everyone else sleeps off their hangovers though. If not will hopefully see some of you on the roads on the way down there.

Whereabouts in Essex are you guys heading from?

In case anyone fancies meeting up near the M1 in Herts - 15 mins north of the M25, here's a run that's happening.

Looking good, the car's all washed and ready to go so hopefully it will stay dry.

It would make the journey more interesting if 2 or 3 of us went down together.

Weather not looking stunning but a lot better than it looked earlier in the week so i think it's a yes from me biggrin

So who fancies a bit of a London Town route rather than the motorway ?

Westferry Circus at between 6:00 and 6:30 am ? Head west and take Rotherhithe Tunnel to get on the south of the river and then cross back over tower bridge and head west again and see what happens after that tongue out

Be aware i'm making this up as i go along so it could be a bit of a magical mystery tour lol and keeping together could be challenging but as long as everyone has a Nav it should all come good biggrin
We'll have a little stop in Hyde park where Serpentine Road crosses West carriage drive and then we'll make our way onto MBW down the A3 i think it is smile

Incase not familiar with Westferry Circus it's an underground rounabout down Canary Wharf way smile

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&rlz=1W1GGL...

If you program your nav with the intersection of Westferry Road and West India Avenue that should take you down there smile

Don't think I can manage to get up that early on a Sunday so will have to wimp out and take the motorway option I'm afraid.

Sounds like a good plan apart from I believe the gates at MBW do not open until 9:00. Assuming that we leave Westferry at 6:30 we would arrive at MBW at around 7:30?

Was thinking of having a bit of a mooch round the city before getting en-route to Weybridge smile Not sure what exactly but i've put a few random waypoints into the nav, like Parliament Square and Buckingham Palace for example........... you can make some noise down the Rotherhithe Tunnel too biggrin

......... and if we see somewhere roadside for a cup of tea also, then all the better biggrin
