Anyone know of a decent place near Colchester? Fed up of going to places which have the right equipment (Hunter machine) but dont know what they are doing when you want different specs to standard.

Been there before. Admittedly they seemed to know what they were doing, but wasn't so keen to go back there because of the customer service.

Thanks for the suggestion though. Maybe I will give them another try.

I know it's a bit of a trek, but Torque Developments in Lakeside, Thurrock are very good.

Hope this helps

We use Skidmarques for all our Ford GT work - the Colchester side of Brentwood.

Actually used Supertyres in the end. Was pleasantly surprised, the service was fast and done professionally. The knob who I spoke to in there last time wasnt there this time.

Realise its a bit late for you OP, but i had mine done at Skidmarques (Brentwood) today, great and pleasant service, initial assessment was explained and we agreed the remedy, i was only charged for the toe adjustment mine needed, £30 ( prices on their website), highly recommended and we got a free coffee each.

Sorry to highjack! Thanks everyone for their recommendations.

Just share my experience I used Elite in Rainham and wow! Why can't all tyre places be this way? First the price for the tyres I was after were £16 per corner cheaper then online suppliers and the service was fantastic. Worth the travel from Ashford! Oh and they make a decent bacon roll and coffee too!

Elite changed 2 tyres for me, scratched paint off both wheels.

Manager did sort immediatley by offering a refurb. Good customer service IMO but could have done without the car on axle stands for a week.
