Red Vauxhall VX220 in Thundersley at lunchtime and a Triumph Stag (maybe) on the way back... Nice to see a few toys out and about!

Certainly is - VX220's seem to have mostly vanished though, shame; cool cars.

Possibly, it was heading in that general direction. tt's VERY clean. MOT shows it being registered in 2013, last tested in 2019 with 2.5k miles. I'm guessing it's an import & restoration

On my way back along the A414 , I also spotted a REALLY clean red Saab 900 Turbo with the Aero pack. I can't remember the last time I saw one of those.

Elises too, hardly any around - or rarely come out to play.

I think both still look excellent to this day.

Via How Many Left there are approx. 600 VX220's in the UK vs approx. 7.4k Elise'.

For comparison there's just over 1k Emira's registered at the moment.

Wow, only 600 VX220's... The badge was always an issue at the time and people would go and buy an Elise due to the badge...

I looked at buying one some years ago - always preferred the look of the VX220 to the S1 Elise. Still think that they look very cool.

Never been a Vauxhall fan so I would have probably swapped the badges for Opel.

Spotted loads of TVRs and Lotus on the M25 near J28 when I was sat there for hours yesterday evening. Also a couple of Ferraris etc. Also saw an SF90 on the A12 this morning and a blue Emira

Later in the day & a dark blue Saab 95 (wagon) on a drive in Clacton, Focus RS Mk1 in Thorpe-le-Soken and a black Toyota GR86 in Copford nr. Colchester.

This morning on the A12 around Chelmsford a red VW Scirocco Mk1, gold S3 Jag Sov, red 3-Series (E30) cab & blue AM Vantage V12. Witham & a grey/black '66 or ’67 Mustang.

PM & on the A131 to Braintree a silver 911 (993).

Yep, must be worth some £££.

There's a couple of double & triple digit plates attached to very mundance cars locally - always makes me smile when I see them.
