Lotus buys Caterham

Team Lotus Enterprises has confirmed the purchase of British sportscar maker Caterham Cars.

Apparently the purchase will signal the continued development of its famous Seven brand, using F1 technology.

Well it's not really Lotus is it? It's "Team Lotus", which has no official ties to Lotus, and will probably not be called Lotus anything for long.

I like Tony Fernandes and think he's done wonderful things, but this has nothing to do with Lotus.

True. Rumour has it, depending on the Lotus v Lotus court case, that Team Lotus are set to become Sonangol Caterham F1
