I'm going to get one, happy to organise an NZ shipment if anyone else wants one (or more)?

Hey there, I'm not busting for a keyring at this stage, but I saw in one of your old posts you had all your compliance docs for a Cerb in digital format, any chance I could flog them from you? I'm bringing my 97 Cerb in from Ireland to Welly (mid April all going well!) and was not quite cetrtain how it was going to get on. I figured I'd keep it for the track if I didnt get compliance, but It'd be much better on the road! Any help would be brilliant! Cheers, Aran

You'll be able to get it on the road OK but the bureaucracy can be a challenge. Have a look at the last few pages of the 'spotted' thread here for Daniel's (Redmist33) posts - he has just been through compliance, helped by Jim Gamsby - and will have a lot more and recent info than I've got.

Jim Gamsby in Auckland is the recognised local expert in complying TVRs. He's done several, including Daniel's, so suggest you drop him an email or make a phone call before coming out - you'll want to make sure you get the process and docs done right at your end. Contact details for Jim here:

Drop us a line when you get settled and we'll see who we can get out for a beer from here.

Although I'd recommend Jim, he didn't comply mine. After battling for almost a year I managed to contact the right people in LTNZ at the right time and all the ducks lined up. Certainly helped that Jim was complying two at the same time.
I would say that given the battles have been fought for you it should be considerably easier to comply (just dot all your i's). I would however make sure it's the cleanest example possible. Repair certs are required for all chassis work, including painting. You may also have to do something about headlights, which are very poor in the early Cerbs. Mine is a 2003 LW 4.5.

Aran - the fastest, cheapest and easiest way will be to send your car straight to Jim.

Look forward to having another one in NZ.
