Had forgotten that was on, I'll have to head down to Teretonga when they get there.

Yeah man was there today, and man was it a stinker! It was so hot, I was watching the drivers take their helmets off on the way back to the pits and they were just dripping. CRM off here was spotted on the track in a blue Alfa scud.

Good spotting. Just doing a lunchtime lap. My red scud! was refused entry due to drivers lack of current racing despite gracing page 8 of the current NZ Classic Car mag...

Trust you had a good day!

Fav moment seeing the 250F in action. Magnificent

PS planning on heading to Timaru on Sat for the day. If anyone else is keen to head down sing out

Good to see our 2 touring cars at the front of the first shot. That Cologne Capri of Roger's is MAD! I hear Dale won that race. Shame I missed it.

That 250F was my highlight, didn't it sound fantastic!

Shame you didn't get out on the track properly, thinking I might have to have a go, might have to wait, got the engine out of the Delta, and throwing lots of cash at it.

Is that the Southern Festival of Speed under a different name?

I can never really afford to got to racetracks to watch awesomeness like this. Especially now that i'm saving for my wedding next year. frown

yes

Its a pity they canned the Dunedin street race - do they still run the hillclimb at 3 Mile Hill?

Yes and no. Scope always existed, was always better than the street race in the final few years. I only went to the street race for the pits, I got far less out of listening to race cars through a solid concrete wall.

Where did you spectate when it was running? It was good up on Cemetery Hill as they came over the top and down through the chicane. Agreed that the safety barriers around most of the circuit just got excessive and spoiled things towards the end though.

AFAIK the Southern Festival of Speed was the name for the whole series of racing (Ruapuna, Levels, Dunedin, Teretonga) but now they seem to be marketed more as individual events in each place.

Hampton Downs seems to have poached the Can-Ams from Teretonga now too. frown
