OK, so I probably should post this in sales or something but I thought you NZ Pistonheaders might be interested in this. I'm going to sell the Elise, and I hate selling anything, let alone dealing with the tyre kickers that this will generate on trademe, so here is a preview for a more discerning bunch. (That's a compliment by the way)

Lotus 111S series 2
Honda K20A supercharged & charge cooled.

2002 Lotus Elise 111S
Honda K20A 2 litre conversion done by Kirrapac Australia using UK Link Up kit.
Supercharger & charge cooler also by Link Up installed by Kirrapac.
Specs too long to list all but main points as below.

Engine & Gearbox.
Built by Andrew Short of Rally As.
Forged pistons and rods, rebored and balanced.
Toda cam chain tensioner.
Accusump oil system.
Gears shot peened and Quaife limited slip diff installed.
Hondata K Pro ECU.
Race FX custom exhaust.
Link Up water to air charge cooler, radiator and circulating pump.

Aim electronic dash and data logger. Displays & records most data including fuel pressure, intake temp, oil pressure & temp etc etc. Downloads to lap top for analysis.
Aim GPS lap timer.

Suspension & Brakes
Elise Parts alloy GT hubs front & rear.
AP racing Lotus 4 pot front callipers.
Lotus motor sport master cylinder.
Elise Parts alloy lite weight rear callipers.
Nitron 2 way coil over shocks set up by Chris Randall at Hoffman's UK.

Concealed radar detector & laser jammers.

222kw at the wheels on the Torque Performance dyno.
Car weighs approx. 830kg.
This car has been built and maintained with no expense spared, with most work done by Race FX, with dyno and tuning by Torque Performance.
Fully road legal and complied.
Done about 3,500 km's since the engine conversion, and only had 13,000 km's on the clock before that.
Shame to sell it but it needs a new owner who's keen to use it more. I've moved on to new games and it's too good to gather dust in the garage.
You won't find a faster or better Lotus Elise in NZ

Lovely car! RSC? Royal Shakespeare Company? Oh, and while I'm making stupid comments...if you parked it on a zebra crossing, would it be invisible? I'll get my coat (etc)

Not sure but a zebra tried to shag it once?

And yep I do a great Falstaff. Kind of living my life in his footsteps really,

Why not post the price if it is for sale?

Secret?

Not sure what it's worth really. Turned down 70K a few months ago, if any one is interested in the car then I'm happy to talk to them.

Remember how I said I hate selling things?

Worth 80-85k for sure.... Not worth selling for less than that Willy.

Look at what you'll spend to go as quickly around the track (and still be road legal) and I think you'll see there's not much else around for the price.

And it's hard to describe the joy of spanking dentists & lawyers in their GT3's with what they described as "what a cute little car" just prior to the session.
(Nothing against all you dentists & lawyers, just seems to be only you guys can afford GT3's)

Well OK it's true I do hate all you dentists, but it's not personal, just that being tortured with bloody great stainless steel tools jammed into your face should be illegal!

Will Great to see the car - after hearing soo much about it.

You might get a tyre kicker / passenger next weekend(18th / 19th)when I drop in on your neighbour...

Will be hard to replace.

Hey Kylie, how you doing? Yes it is a bit sad I guess but just getting more into other games. Sailing & diving more, started kiting this year and I'm going to take the yacht to Fiji this winter & kite for a few months while you're staring out the window at the rain!
So it just seems a waste to have it sitting there doing not much. But hey, if no one comes up with real money it stays in the garage.
You still in Auckland?

Hi Willy, yip im banging my head against brick wall I didnt need to sell mine at all and some days wish I hadnt, other days just saying yip ive done the right thing. Like you im into so much more than just driving exotics, ive been real passionate about the outdoors since I was little and now got the help and support to enable me to do all those wonderful living adventures again.

I just signed a big contract to stay in Aucks for next 6 months at Contact Energy, doing QA for outages at Otahuhu and Taranaki so will be everywhere. After that anythings possible, Dubai/Oz for a few months project management/QA, to top up the kitty. Hoping to get around 100acres workable land havnt decided where yet, been looking hard out, im so over Aucks need to get out, work keeps me here thats it.. I spend most weekends down at partners bach in Pauanui, we are hard out scuba diving nutters, mx, mountain bikes, just bought a CR125 fully tricked up. Windsurfing every week! We got 6m and 7m haines hunter for diving/fishing missions. We do ship wrecks, cave dives and big trips out to Aldermans, etc.... If you guys are keen to tag along let me know and well arrange a trip smile Or like to tag along with you guys. Say hi to Nina for me

My advice Willy, is not to sell, unless you really NEED the space/money. You'll regret it when you do.

I know how it feels to feel guilty having an awesome toy but not using it as much as you should/would like..... still, it's your toy and you use it how you want to... don't feel guilty about it smile

Your car is the only S2 in NZ that I'd like to own. I'm not an S2 fan, but yours has been done 100% right... had I the space and money I'd have bitten your hand off.... ironically, if I'd just left the Exige standard, I could have just about afforded it.

I will keep some feelers out... although I don't know anyone at present who would do your car justice.

Thats one of the nicest late model Elises' i've seen. I'd really only sell it as an absolute last resort, as its likely you'll regret it later, even mildly so.

Well now that George has nearly got the Sistine Chapel going maybe it's worth hanging on to it. Track days haven't been the same lately. What's the latest update Michelangelo Maddever?
