Some interesting new cars on the Lotus lineup just unveiled at the Paris auto show. Beautiful cars, although it seems to me the Elite looks a bit like a Vantage, and the Esprit, with those front scoops, a bit like a Lambo. Also picked up a thread somewhere that the newly released Evora won't be in their new lineup? Odd for a car that has won high praise and numerous awards. Perhaps that's just heresay.

Heresy you say?

I like the Esprit, possibly because I like the Lambo too, but there's something a bit too snoutish about the 2015 Elise for me (S2000 nose?). I guess with the designs so heavily influenced by aerodynamics and design safety regs, and the sheer plethora of new supercars that are publicised (if not actually produced) these days it must be damn near impossible to pen something that doesn't look like it's got bits of something else in it.

yeah, hearsay AND heresy!

I like the Esprit too. Aspects of it still conjure up the final version Esprits, which is good. And I don't mind too much the Lambo touches. And like Lambos, I've heard it's going to be in the 110000-120000 GBP range! Actually, the one I'm impressed with, looks-wise, is the Elan.

I think they are aimed at the wrong market.

Lotus make simple light sports cars - they dont make 600bhp $400000 cars

I actually liked the look of the Esprit with the Elan a close second.

Elan will be an Evora under the skin....think of it as an Evora S2.

Like the look of them, especially the Elite, Elan and I think the Eterne is stunning for a 4-door.

Esprit is a bit too bland, bit too disappointing

Elise is disappointing in the front end, desperately needs "nostrils" in that huge bonnet it's gained.
