Check out Trademe and give me some support, I am needing it frown

Ive been dreading this for a while now but I need to focus on building a family and rebuilding some assets up again, and while the property market is flat theres some pretty cool options out there for me to get back on the ladder that I cant refuse. Memphis is going..... weeping I am fken gutted but thats the choices we make. I can always get another one day. The plan is ive always fancied a GT40 so who knows I might be back with one of those.

For now the Vogue is totally tapped out with diving, windsurfing, mountainbikes, camping, kayaking and fishing gears, so I think ill be ok and least thats got a nice BMW V8 in it for 4WD off-roading adventures in true PH spirit wink

Sorry to hear that Kylie.

FWIW I reckon special cars like Memphis aren't ever really 'owned' in the way than normal cars are as they should outlive us all, you've just been his custodian for a while and are now part of his history.

You're so good at organising trips and so on, Kylie, that I feel you should carry on with it-even sans-Lotus- and be transported in style and luxury in the car of your choice on each occasion. Best of luck with the sale-and with getting some property while it's a buyer's market. Are you looking at Auck or returning to the mainland?

We can commiserate (if thats the right word) together, I've pretty well decided to sell mine also Kylie.
We'll drown our sorrows over a bottle of red or 2!
Just not getting the use and I've moved on to other things.
On the plus side I just got back from an awesome 2 week Fiji kite boarding trip, fastest thing I rode in was the Bula Bus at Denerau Island and I still had fun.
So if anyone wants a supercharged, intercooled Honda powered Elise let me know.
There might be better one around but I'd take some convincing.

Sorry about the hijack Kylie, catch you soon?

Sorry to hear that Kylie. At least your not the only one prioritising housing over Lotuses irked

Just to reiterate the view George hasnt said yet wink Dont assume the property market is going to go up from here, once Memphis goes I'd imagine you'll be in a strong position so make sure you drive a very hard bargain.

Just in case anyone thinks it's catching, I'm not letting SEXIGE go anywhere (despite being offered rather insane amounts of money for it!).

Sad to hear Kylie, but I'm sure you'll be back eventually smile And you'll stick around PH I'm sure!

As for you Willy.... if only I had the money (or rather if I only hadn't blown it all on my car!)

Thanks mate such nice words, who knows may get it back again, I know of a few ex S350 owners now desperatly trying hunt down their old cars again. Theres something special about getting your old car back again it would seem. Just need to go backward a little for a big jump forwards , so as long as I can tell myself this, ill be ok. Besides hasnt sold yet so see what happens, more driving adventures yet smile

Hehe true, that would be nice and yes def keen to help out on runs if I can. Id be truly greatful for a seat in any PHers car smile

Just renting a house for next few months so I can search and buy house in Nelson, then eventually buy into 100 acres in the Tasman/Nelson area, and build home on it. Always loved working the land and a great place to raise a family smile Something I couldnt choose do up till now. Work has burnt me out mentally, need a change.

Hey Willy! Yep I am up for a few bottles of plonk! Will be a blow for sure, but like you got other things happening and need to get a move on with it. The kite boarding sounds epic!! I went on a windsurf trip to an outer Island called NanaNu-I-Ra off the top of the main land there. Certainly great NE wind this time of year there.
Are you still doing the 4WD adventures? Its certainly something I could get into.

Yes Nananu I Ra was where I was, wind every day & epic long down wind kites from about 8 kms up the reef.
Longest run about 4 hours, could hardly crawl to the bar, but I pushed myself & made it the 20 metres from the water to the bar stool.
