I'm still waiting for someone to stick a mini nuclear reactor in an electric car. It's (almost) the perfect solution...

The only thing that would give me the twitches is that lithium ion cells that everyone uses building a serious EV apparently have a life of about 5 years from date of manufacture. That appears so even if just sitting charged and not being exercised. As currently Lithiums are buttock clenchingly expensive until the price comes down by about a factor of five I'll pass thank you.
